Finally, I felt the moment when winter clicked into spring! Slowly a new energy is felt, there are more extra sun rays and the days have begun to get brighter and brighter. Almost in a whisper, gently in the background; one can hear Antonio Vivaldi’s – “spring” song.
Ahh…spring! The smell of wet earth combined with the unexpected sprinkle of color flirting with my irises for so long now used to gray.
This morning I found my self walking around my yard letting the sun’s warming rays wrap playfully around my skin. Without a fight I surrender to this blissful moment and I find myself eager to add to nature’s palate by depositing my own essence and color around my home.
As I look at some of my now empty window boxes and pots that I have throughout my property, I can help but to wonder how I will decorate them this year. Do I even have the time?
A few days ago I met Kathleen Roberts, Owner of Potted Petals. Being an avid green thumb person myself, it was great to meet her. She specializes in everything that has to do with flowers, gardens and the like.
Her store is located near downtown Lombard,IL and in there you will find a wide variety of gift items ranging from silk flowers to seasonal gifts with a blend of vintage, all keeping with the flower and garden theme. Kathleen also offers a landscape design service and specializes in silk wedding designs.
I think she is just the right prescription to my green-thumb block!
